Dame Judith Hackitt confirmed as keynote speaker for the Quality in Construction Summit 2019
Dame Judith Hackitt of the Hackitt Report has been confirmed as the keynote speaker of the Quality in Construction Summit brought to you by UK Construction Week, taking place on 3rd July 2019 in ExCeL, London.
The quality of our buildings and how we build is something we are all too aware needs to be addressed. Few can dispute the quality of housing needs to improve, and the same can be said for educational buildings, new hospitals, civic buildings and even the leisure sector.
One year after the Hackitt Report we take a look at how things are changing, and what needs to change to ensure we create quality buildings fit to last for centuries.
"Construction is an industry that has not reflected and learned for itself, nor looked to other sectors.” Dame Judith Hackitt - Building a Safer Future, July 2017
The agenda at the Quality in Construction Summit focuses on doing just that, reflecting and learning, looking at case studies, and how we are digitalising quality, learning from other sectors, modern methods of construction, fire safety and the quality process, alternatives to combustible materials and the latest processes and guidelines.
Over 120 construction firms have already confirmed their attendance at the summit, including Morgan Sindall Group, Skanska, Willmott Dixon, Kier Group, Baily Garner, Sir Robert Alphine, Vinci Construction, VolkerWessels UK, Galliard Homes and many more.
